This role is a new position which is part of the Parish Partnerships team in Ballarat. This team works closely with local parishes in the Diocese of Ballarat. While working with us you will be required to work from a Diocesan location.
Your primary responsibility in this role will be to provide strength based case management to clients who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of becoming homeless. You will work in an autonomous way while being part of a small and agile team who provide complementary emergency relief services to community members in need.
To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:
- A degree or diploma in Social Work, Welfare or equivalent studies with case management experience.
- A good understanding of the issues related to homelessness and factors that can impact on clients and their families.
- To use a strengths based approach.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to write operational reports for the manager.
- Enjoy working collaboratively in achieving positive client outcomes.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
