The Position: 

We are seeking a Project Worker who brings enthusiasm, skills and experience to this exciting new role within this high quality service. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about working with vulnerable children, youth and families and collaborating with other professionals across child and adult services to deliver innovative projects responding to identified needs.  Of particular interest is our ongoing work to hear the voices of children and disseminate their thought’s widely. Primiarly the focus will be on delivering AIFS accredited Promising Program, Beyond the Violence training to professionals and programs to women and children.

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community development, early childhood or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in community development principles and practices and their application when working within communities to build capacity,  and understanding of evidence informed and outcome focused approaches
  • Ability to manage projects effectively with sound written, verbal and analytical skill
  • Have Beyond the Violence accreditation to or beyond Level 2.
  • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to operate a variety of software applications (preferable word, excel and PowerPoint)

Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
