The work of the Financial Counselling team focuses on advocacy on behalf of low income consumers, promotion of a personal capacity to make responsible use of credit and financial resources, and improving the financial literacy of the broader community. The Intake Worker will be instrumental in providing financial counselling support including intake and assessment of a client’s financial situation, the provision of information, promotion of the program and referral to other relevant services.
To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:
- An understanding of the impact of environmental factors affecting financial independence on individuals, families and communities.
- An understanding of the impact of problem gambling on individuals, families and communities.
- Experience in undertaking intake, assessment and referral.
Please Note: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
