Team Leader Family Violence Eastern Suburbs
The Men’s Family Violence Program is funded by Family Safety Victoria (FSV) and Corrections Victoria to provide services to men working or residing in Melbourne’s eastern region who use family violence and women and children impacted by men’s family violence. Services to men include case management, individual intake assessments, therapeutic counselling and Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) group work. MBC is usually provided in the evenings at our offices in Dandenong, Lilydale, and Box Hill. Group programs have a focus on cognitive psycho-education using group participation to reflect on different topics for discussion. These topics always locate the responsibility for the violence with the perpetrator and are based on feminist theory with a gender analysis. The service meet ‘No To Violence’ minimum standards.
