Preschool Field Offers provide short term guidance and coaching to early childhood educators using a locally responsive approach – inclusive of consultative support, resourcing and practical advice.  We are currently seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Professional for a fixed term part-time (0.8FTE) 12-month position commencing February 2026.

PSFOs use a locally responsive approach to assist early childhood educators. This approach includes consultative support, resourcing and practical advice.  This support assists educators to deliver high quality programs. PSFOs work with early childhood educators to provide inclusive programs that meet the needs of all children.

The program operates within kindergarten programs and does not deliver direct intervention to a child.

 

Support to educators may include:

  • Providing information, resources, strategies, and experiences to inform programming
  • Assessing a child's capabilities to assist educators in identifying additional needs
  • Supporting educators to respond to a parents' concerns for their child's development
  • Planning support to complement the educator's expertise in children's learning and development
  • Building professional partnerships and collaborative relationships with educators
  • Modelling of specific skills, suggestions, and strategies with educators
  • Linking families to referral pathways for child and family supports
  • Assisting educators to embed child-specific teaching and learning opportunities into the kindergarten environment.

 

Qualifications:

A degree in Early Childhood Education with a qualification in Special Education is preferred.

 

Make A Move:

  • A salary at SCHCADS level 6 which equates to around $110,000 plus super.
  • This is senior level salary offering excellent remuneration.
  • Part time hours, 0.8, 30.4 hours, 4 days per week, please pro rata the above salary
  • Based at our office in Bendigo.
  • Start date - week commencing 16th Feb 2026- End date 16th Feb 2027 (12 months)
