Your role:
Home Based Care programs work with young people and carers entering or in the care system. The shifts would likely include trips to and from school, as well as weekend support work shifts. We would like our support workers to have knowledge of trauma and trauma-informed care.
A Youth Mentor works with clients within the home based care sector, they act as a positive role model in supporting young people to engage in pro-social activities and to assist in the development of independent life and living skills. As a Youth Mentor, you will work closely with case managers and the care team to help provide the best outcomes for our young people. Some of the general tasks include:
