A new approach to recruiting and supporting foster carers.

Change is here. Therapeutic Foster Care.

Anglicare Victoria’s Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) model provides a trauma-informed, relationship-based service for children and young people who present with complex emotional, behavioural, developmental, and cultural needs.

The model is designed to create the conditions for healing by placing each child or young person in a home-based environment that is safe, stable, and therapeutically supported.

Foster Carers will now benefit from more intensive, therapeutic support provided by skilled clinicians underpinned by evidence based models.

The messaging for TFC carers focuses on:

  • Making an impact
  • Being part of a specialist care team

  • Demonstrated ability to devise and implement media campaigns in a creative and professional manner pertinent to the needs of Foster Care recruitment.
  • Not-for-profit experience and previous out-of-home home care sector knowledge is highly desirable

Qualifications/Licences:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, welfare, marketing, event management or related disciplines or matching skills to perform the role.
  • Shared Lives and Step by Step accreditation strongly encouraged.
  • Driving license.

Make a Move:

  • Salaries range from $100,776 to $105,340 (SCHADS level 5).
  • Flexible through the increments depending on current level and experience.
  • Office location: Yarraville with outreach to Central Highlands (Ballarat) to meet with carers.

What our people say- “I've genuinely never thought about going to another organisation. The opportunities, the innovation, the commitment to change and working with vulnerable families, young people and communities. It sounds really cliche, but you come into this work to make a difference and you can do that here. We work really hard to make differences in those spaces.”
