The Position:

The Family Violence Flexible Support Packages (FVFSP) Program delivers personalised and holistic responses to assist adult and child victim survivors experiencing family violence to transition from crisis and to establish long term sustainable arrangements to improve their safety, wellbeing and independence in recovery from family violence.   

Individualised packages provide flexible brokerage to victim survivors to purchase a range of tailored and practical supports based on their case management plan/support plan.  These may include counselling, wellbeing, education, employment, transport, housing stability and other practical or material needs.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Officer involve:

  • Assessing the eligibility and suitability of applications, as well as approving applications and administering funds in accordance with the program guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and supporting applicant agencies to complete applications via the FSP portal.
  • Maintaining accurate record-keeping procedures and creditor records to ensure integrity and compliance with accounting standards, overall data security and systems in line with the program requirements and Anglicare Victoria policies and procedures.
  • Providing regular Information Sessions to internal programs and external agencies as required.
  • Providing regular reports regarding the funds approved and expended for each package and the balance of unspent funds.

 

To Be Successful in this Position You Will Need:

  • A Diploma in Administration, Accounting or similar.
  • General knowledge and experience of accounting procedures and reporting packages i.e., Accounts Payable.
  • Sound computing skills in the full suite of Microsoft Office and proficiency in the use of spreadsheets.
  • Significant administrative and procedural skills, with demonstrated experience in adhering to program and contractual requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accurate data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a community services organisation would be highly regarded.

 

Make it work:

  • Hourly rate is $46.35 per hour plus super
  • Part-time, fixed term contract to 30 June 2026
  • 0.4– 15.2 hours, 2 days a week
  • Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus a Meals/Entertainment benefit so you keep more of what you earn.
  • Based in at our Preston office, as part of the broader Finance team supporting the Family Violence Program.
