About the role
If you’ve clicked on the advert, you know what the aim of a residential youth worker is. It’s about fostering positive relationships, providing a nurturing and safe home environment, supporting your colleagues and being a role model for young people in care.
There are also the elements of homemaking, administration, crisis management, travel support, organisation and everything else that comes with supporting young people in a home environment.
You will require either
Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care).
A relevant tertiary qualification and a willingness to undertake top up training to meet the qualification requirements of the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
