Your role:

Anglicare Victoria provides foster care for children and young people who are temporarily unable to live at home. Anglicare Victoria Home Based Care programs play a vital role in protecting children and young people by ensuring they have a safe and nurturing home while their family cannot care for them.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Recruit and retain foster carers providing them with the required training and support
  • Marketing, enquires, carer assessment, training, accreditation and information sessions

 

Make Your Mark:

  • Targeted carer recruitment, central lead, intake and triaging.
  • Contribute to a recruitment strategy including advertising and marketing.
  • Present and deliver carer information sessions and where needed training.
  • Assessment of Foster Carers.
  • Manage and support enquiries from new / potential carers.
  • Think strategically and work as part of a team to overcome the challenges associated with the recruitment of new carers.

 

Make it Work:

  • Demonstrated training and assessment skills including the presentation/facilitation of training/information sessions, and conducting accreditation assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise and implement media campaigns in a creative and professional manner pertinent to the needs of Foster Care recruitment.
  • Not-for-profit experience and previous out-of-home home care sector knowledge is highly desirable
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, communicating with influence, organisational, planning, and relationship management skills.

 

Qualifications/Licenses:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community services and matching skills to perform the role.
  • Shared Lives and Step by Step accreditation strongly encouraged.
  • Driving license essential.

 

Make a Move:

  • Salaries range from $100,776 to $105,340 (SCHADS level 5).
  • Flexible through the increments depending on current level and experience.
  • Office location: Dandenong.
  • Pool cars available for travel.
  • Part time, 4 days per week, fixed term to 30th April 2026.
