Support the therapeutic recovery of parent/carer and children victim survivors of family violence using a trauma informed approach focused on safety, empowerment and connection..

• Provide therapeutic interventions and parenting after violence groups for women recovering from the impact of family violence.

• Individual, dyadic and group interventions for adults and children recovering from family violence.

Skills and experience: 

• Experience working with adult and children victim survivors.
• Experience with therapeutic models and interventions.
• Group work facilitation skills and experience.
• Participate in group work facilitation and implement evidence based group work models which aid parents, children and whole families in their recovery from trauma associated with family violence.
• Teamwork skills and a sound knowledge of violence and abusive behaviours and its effect on family members as required.
• An understanding of the Children and Young Persons Act and the Department of Human Services - Protective Services
• Knowledge and experience in the use of current and relevant theoretical frameworks in relation to working with parents and children in the context of family violence, including effective risk assessment and safety planning. 

Make it work:

• You get a salary starting at $106,637 (pro rata for part time hours).
• Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
• SCHCADS award level 6
• Fixed term funding till 30 June 2026
• Seeking 2 staff to fill these roles in any combination of FTE up to 1.8 FTE
• Part time and full time available.
