Your role:

The position is responsible for providing a case management service for children and young people residing in kinship care in the Inner West. The role provides longer term support for children and young people in statutory kinship care placements, aimed at enhancing the child/ren’s development and family functioning whilst ensuring stability and safety of all family members.

 

Make your mark:  

  • Experience in child, youth and family welfare, with particular experience in Out of Home Care is highly desired.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy and practice environment of Out of Home Care or a passion for learning.
  • Skills and experience in the support and supervision of carers is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management.
  • Well developed organisational skills.
  • An understanding of, and capacity to act accordingly to the principles and intent of the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005.

 

Make it work:

  • A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $100,776 plus super.
  • Flexible through the increments up to 5.3 (dependent upon experience).
  • Based at our office in Yarraville.
  • There is 1 full time position, currently until August 2026
