Your role

Anglicare Victoria's Financial Counselling program aims to:

  • Deliver high quality Financial Counselling through the provision of information, advice, practical assistance and advocacy intended to stabilise and improve the client’s financial situation.
  • Support clients navigate financial crisis, build financial wellbeing, capability and resilience.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services and broader community support services to address client needs.
  • Provide statewide intake, triage and referral support to provide timely access to grant programs and promote available services, whilst facilitating referrals to place-based agencies for people impacted by the 2026 Victorian fire events.

 

Make your mark

  • With a qualification Diploma of Financial Counselling.
  • Membership of Financial Counselling Victoria Inc. (FCVic)
  • An understanding of the impact of environmental factors affecting financial independence on individuals, families and communities
  • Experience in working with clients who have experienced family violence would be highly desirable.
  • Well-developed verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.

  • Salary is in line with Level 5 SCHADS.
  • Office location is flexible: Bendigo, Echuca, Kyneton or Mildura.
  • Hybrid work option of WFH and in office.
  • Fixed term contract of 24 months, extension potential in line with any future funding.
