About us
We are the state’s largest provider of Out of Home Care services and provide therapeutic care to young people across over 30+ residential homes in Melbourne and across Victoria. Within each house, a team of between 8 and 12 staff provide trauma informed therapeutic care to young people which includes responding to the young person’s emotional and functional needs, the development of their personal skills, as well as engaging in administrative requirements and household duties.
The aim is to provide a safe, trauma informed and nurturing home environment while supporting the young people to be the best they can be.
Your role:
This position is part of a complex and high-risk service area which includes ten Youth Residential Care homes.
In this position, you will be accountable to a Senior Program Manager who has overall responsibility for the program. The Senior Program manager will focus on operational and risk management functions within the program. Your contributions will lead and ensure practice and performance throughout the program consistently align with the highest standards, whilst practice and performance will be your priority, supporting operations will also be required. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in meeting service benchmarks and goals by championing a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation.
Your skilled and calm approach will provide both direct management as well as indirect leadership across the program and will model a therapeutic approach for the benefit of the young people we have in our care and staff across the program, providing high-level oversight, support and leadership when required.
