Meet the Moment. Make it Matter with Anglicare Victoria.
At Anglicare Victoria, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a safe, stable and hopeful future. As a Better Futures Development Coach working in the Intake and Active Hold space, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring young people leaving care feel supported from their very first connection with us.
In this role, you’ll be a steady, reassuring presence—listening deeply, building trust, and helping young people identify what matters most to them as they begin their Better Futures journey. You’ll provide early guidance, practical support, and a trauma‑informed approach that honours each young person’s dignity, strengths and lived experience.
Working closely with our passionate team, you’ll help create the conditions where young people feel safe, empowered and ready to engage in longer-term coaching. Your work will help ensure no young person waits alone—every interaction is an opportunity to spark confidence, hope and possibility.
If you’re committed to supporting young people to thrive, strengthening community connections, and delivering care with compassion and respect, this is your chance to make a genuine impact.
Your role:
Better Futures aims to engage earlier with care leavers, supporting them to have an active voice in their transition planning, and providing individualised supports across a range of life areas including housing, education, employment, and community and cultural connections.
Home Stretch is delivered via the Better Futures program. Through Home Stretch, young people and their kinship, foster and permanent carers have the option of the young person remaining with their carer up to the age of 21 years, supported by an allowance.
The skills you will use day to day:

The opportunities, the innovation, the commitment to change and working with vulnerable families, young people and communities.
