About the Role

As our People & Culture Senior Advisor – Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you’ll be responsible for the execution and implementation of OHS strategies that align with organisational objectives. You’ll champion a culture of safety and wellbeing, provide expert advice on complex OHS matters, and drive continuous improvement across our People & Culture functions.

This is a pivotal role where you’ll:

  • Prioritise Staff Health, Safety & Wellbeing
  • Review and implement OHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support our Leaders to build organisational capability.
  • Oversee OHS systems and reporting for compliance and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Lead major projects, audits, and initiatives that make a measurable impact.
 

About You

You’re a proactive, solutions-focused professional with personal qualities like initiative, resilience, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning as well as:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (mandatory).
  • Significant experience in OHS advisory roles, including project leadership and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, risk management, and best practice frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of the Community Services sector and the challenges faced by staff.
  • A Victorian Driver’s Licence.
