Location and travel requirements:

You will be based at The Orange Door - Southern Melbourne Area, Dandenong site. However, you may be required from time to time to work across the three Southern Melbourne Area sites to meet operational needs.

 

Make your mark:

You will join the team at The Orange Door Dandenong. Work within a specialist Adults Using Family Violence discipline within an Integrated Practice Framework to deliver Hub services, whilst applying a holistic lens across the whole family system. 

As a senior practitioner at the Orange Door you will be the go to for timely consulting, advice or support on matters relating to adults using violence. Your deep knowledge and extensive experience working with adults using violence will be needed to ensure the integrated team are able to appropriately assess high levels of associated risk and act accordingly, while managing a minimum caseload and responding to urgent and direct referrals from clients.

The skills you will use day to day:

  • Experience working with perpetrators of violence, men / fathers.
  • Working through an intersectional lens.
  • The ability to work with children and families and/or family violence where there are complex needs and risk issues.
  • Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
  • The ability to identify, assess and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole of family approach.
  • The ability to recognise and identify limits of own expertise and to seek advice or refer clients to other specialists.
  • Assessment skills, L17 referrals, Best Interests Case Practice Model and MARAM knowledge would be highly regarded.

  • A salary starting at around $110,000 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 6 SCHADS)
  • Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degrees, Graduate Certificates, and Master’s Degrees are required to work at The Orange Door. If you hold a Diploma, then you will need to complete further study and complete a higher level of education within the next 10 years.
