The Program:
The Victims Assistance Program aims to assist victims to effectively manage the damaging consequences of violent crime and to minimise the secondary victimisation sometimes associated with involvement in criminal justice system. Provide psychological first aid, information, referral, casework, and advocacy and case management services to victims of violent crime.

Additional screening processes, including National Name Check, Fingerprint Records Search and VicPol misconduct screening will be conducted as part of the authorisation process for employment within the VAP co-location project.
